Last week, after almost two years of advocacy, five days of water strikes at the Capitol, multiple legislative visits, and loud, passionate calls for government accountability, the legislative session ended without the passage of a critical two-bill package to fund safe and affordable drinking water. Even though justice has been delayed, justice will not be denied.
Yesterday was the first day to file your paperwork to run in your local water board election! The last day to submit your paperwork at your county’s elections office is August 10th.

To run in an election for a Community Services District or a Public Utilities District in Fresno, Kern, Kings, and Tulare Counties, you must meet these two requirements: 1) be a registered voter within the district you are running for, and 2) you cannot be on parole for a felony. That’s it!
